Couples desperate to have a baby will go to great lengths to conceive and give birth to their precious offspring. Unfortunately, treatment is expensive, and many families aren't able to come up with the money to pay for each of the methods they may wish to try in an attempt to have a baby. Some families will take out second or third mortgages on their homes to finance treatment, max out their credit cards and borrow from friends and family- while others seek treatment in India!
Why India? Compared to the United States, United Kingdom and Australia, the most popular form of treatment- in vitro fertilization, is much less expensive in India. The quality of the treatment is just as good, and results in the same success rate percentages, but the doctors charge much less. In addition, the US and Australian dollar, as well as the UK pound are equivalent to 35-75 RS (the Indian currency), and the money will go further and pay for more treatment.
