Considering Herbal Supplements As Alternative Infertility Treatment

Many couples are simply not ready to advance to medical or surgical treatment when they find that having a baby isn't as easy as they thought it would be. While Western medicine tends to consider surgery and drug treatment, Eastern philosophies lean more towards a variety of alternative treatment possibilities that you may want to consider.

Herbs have been used within Eastern medical practices for centuries for healing and prevention of disease. Herbs are also a large part of treatment in the East, and have been for thousands of years, but Western medicine has had doubts on the potential for herbs to heal or in their use as an treatment. Some Western doctors even insist that herbs may be harmful to a person's health, but there are no studies that support or deny those claims.

In China, however, a medical study has shown that over half of the previously infertile women who decide to use herbal supplements as part of their treatment are successful in becoming pregnant. Herbs are used in some of the same ways at vitamins, and are said to improve different areas of a person's health depending on the herb that you use.
